McDonald's hires Obama's former press secretary to help build a 'progressive burger company'

McDonald's, the world's most famous fast food chain, announced on Tuesday that former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs is now joining the company as a global chief communications officer.
Lest you think it odd that a former member of the Obama administration, which has made a big deal of First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move health campaign, would join a company that is not known for fostering a healthy lifestyle, fear not: McDonald's says Gibbs has been brought on to help "build a more modern, progressive burger company."
You may recall that Gibbs and Michelle Obama clashed at the White House as well, with Gibbs once reportedly raining f-bombs on the first lady after she said she was "dissatisfied" with the way he handled a particular PR disaster.
